Wow! So we haven’t updated this bad boy since, well, damn…a while. If you have gotten your “dare” news exclusively from this site and this site alone I sincerely apologize because, A. the last thing you’ve heard of us is that we just got off tour with Cartel and B. your mom has some serious parental control settings and you have not heard of the websites “Facebook”, “MySpace”, “Reverbnation” or anything else on the “internet”. I’m not here to judge so I’ll give you a quick fill in to what we have been up to.
Since the Cartel tour. We lost a member, gained two more, made an album and have played many, many shows and we just went on a mini-tour. Please check out our album “Duped” on iTunes. http://bit.ly/jmr9Fy
In November we took a trip to Memphis, Tennessee and spent the month recording with producer extraordinaire Paul Ebersold ::cough:: 3 doors down, Sister Hazel… ;). It was a great experience for the “new band”. We recorded twelve songs that we had written over the two years since we made the unreleased ‘Jive’ album (as we call it). But in some respects this album was about our experience with Jive and could also be called the ‘Jive and other experiences with girls, touring, music business , starting anew and not giving up album’. But “Duped” just sounded cooler.
We released “Duped” on May 11th. That day we played a show at the House Of Blues Anaheim. It was technically a “contest” where the winner got a slot on some stage at warped tour one day. But that didn’t matter to us. We wanted to release new music at a venue that had great sound and was located right where a good portion of our fan base is, Disneyland. I’ve been told our music is very soothing for cast members after an eight hour shift taking pictures dressed as Minnie Mouse. And more specifically Anaheim. So we rocked out for half an hour and showed all of the wonderful people there what we can do. Also we actually won that round of the “contest”. We followed this up by playing many shows in the LA area. In August we did the “Duped Tour” with a band called ‘Grenade Jumper’ from Sacramento. Really cool band and really great guys. We hit up Vegas, Hollywood and all over California.
